Brazil named new Executive Director of the Potato Bowl

CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho Associate Athletic Director Danielle Brazil was recently named the new Executive Director of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Brazil will begin her new position on Monday, March 21 after a five-year stint as the Associate Athletic Director.

Brazil will succeed Kevin McDonald, who has been with the bowl game since 2007. For Brazil, it is a reunion as she spent nearly a decade with the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, serving as their Operations and Marketing Director from 2007 to 2013. From 2013 until 2017, Brazil became the Associate Manager of Events for ESPN.

A graduate of the College of Idaho, Brazil has overseen day-to-day operations for the 'Yotes, having direct oversight over marketing, community engagement, sponsorships, and compliance.

"Danielle is highly respected in the community in Boise and within our organization, so we are thrilled to welcome her back to ESPN Events as our new Exective Director," said Clint Overby, Vice President of ESPN Events. "Danielle's experience makes her a perfect fit for this role as she continues the outstanding work that Kevin has done, leading the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl for the last 15 years."

"We are excited for this new opportunity for Danielle knowing that she is moving on to better opportunities," said Reagan Rossi, Vice President of Athletics at the College of Idaho. "This is a testament to her previous work with the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and the College of Idaho. We wish Danielle the best and know that she will always be a part of our Yotes family."

"I want to thank all of the wonderful people at The College of Idaho for the last five years. Its been an incredible highlight for me to be surrounded by people who truly care about each other and strive every day to be the best. Reagan, the coaches and student athletes make The C of I such a unique and special place. I am excited to start this next chapter, and will look forward to cheering on the 'Yotes as a fan in the stands," said Brazil.
