COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – Walla Walla University used a 7-0 run over the final 64 seconds of overtime to stun visiting College of Idaho, 66-62, at Windemuth Court.
Isabella Robles scored a game-high 31 points, including the game-tying 3-pointer with 48 second left in the extra period. On the ensuing possession, Paulina Quintana forced a turnover and converted the fast break lay-up to give the Wolves (2-22, 1-16 CCC) the lead.
C of I (14-12, 8-10) had a chance to tie, but a
Sienna Riggle inside shot rimmed out and WWU converted two free throws to seal the victory.
The Yotes had a 58-55 lead with three minutes left in regulation – but Robles canned one of her five 3-point baskets to tie the score, with the two teams missing six shots in the final two minutes. The visitors got consecutive lay-ups from
Taryn Riley in the extra period to give C of I the 62-59 lead inside the final minute – but the Coyotes did not score again.
Riley scored a career-high 14 points in the loss, with
Kaylee Krusemark scoring 13 points, adding six rebounds and a career-high seven assists.

Lexi Mitchell leading all players with 19 rebounds.
Quintana scored 12 points in the win for the Wolves, who suited just seven players and converted 45-percent of their field goals on the night.
C of I returns home next weekend, hosting Northwest on Friday and Evergreen on Saturday.
