CORVALLIS, Ore. - College of Idaho freshman
Cassidy Stoddard was named the WVT Laboratory-Cascade Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, announced today by the league office.
Stoddard set a new school record in the indoor high jump with a clearance of 1.60m (5-feet, 3 inches) at the Mountain State Games on Saturday. She eclipsed the school record by one centimeter that was previously held by Tiana Thomas and Austin Morgan. The performance by Stoddard secured her fourth place in the event.
Next, C of I will host the Polar Vortex Classic at nearby Caldwell High School on Friday, Feb. 18 and Saturday, Feb. 19 as a last chance qualifying meet for the upcoming NAIA Indoor National Track & Field Championships, Mar. 3-5.
