CALDWELL, Idaho - College of Idaho women's basketball landed four in double figures (
Sienna Riggle -14 pts; 
Lexi Mitchell - 13 pts; 
Riley Frith - 10 pts; 
Mia Austin - 10 pts) in a 67-52 win over Multnomah on Friday night. In the win, the Yotes made seven 3-pointers and outrebounded the Lions by 20, 52-30 in the win. It was the second time in three games that College of Idaho has had four players in double figures.
 
College of Idaho (6-4, 1-3) snapped a four-game losing streak in the win and outscored the Lions in three of the four quarters as they jumped out to a 19-8 lead after the first quarter. In the win, the Yotes outscored Multnomah, 36-22 on points in the paint, 13-4 on second-chance points and a 19-2 advantage in bench scoring.
 
Multnomah (3-7, 1-3) was paced by a game-high 17 points from Alaygza Portis and Shaila Mays added 14 in the loss.
 
"We've had a bit of rough couple of weeks but it was great to see the girls bounce back tonight and get back to playing team ball," said head coach Janis Beal. "We had multiple people step up at different times tonight."
The visitors from Portland scored the first two points of the game before College of Idaho went on a 15-2 run to lead for the rest of the game. In the opening quarter, College of Idaho shot 42.9% (6-for-14) from the field and held Multnomah to 23.5% (4-for-17) shooting on its way to the win.
 
Next, College of Idaho will host Warner Pacific on Saturday at 3 p.m. in its final home game of 2022 at the J.A. Albertson Activity Center.
