LA GRANDE, Ore. - The No. 4 Yotes men's basketball team continued the hot start to the 2022-2023 campaign, taking down Eastern Oregon, 70-58, to win their eighth straight contest.
The Yotes (8-1) were led on offense by
Drew Wyman, who recorded 14 points on 4-9 shooting, including 6-6 from the charity stripe. In his first start of the season,
Johnny Radford recorded 12 points on 3-10 shooting, and 2-6 from three, officially passing current assistant coach
Emanuel Morgan in the school's all time three point rankings.
Jake O'Neil and
Straton Rogers each recorded double-doubles, with O'Neil finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Rogers finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
The Mountaineers (5-4) were led on offense by Phillip Malatare who went 8-19 from the floor and recorded 18 points. Ismael Valdez was the only other Eastern player in double figures as he finished with 10 points on 4-5 from the floor.
