La Grande, Ore. – The No. 12 College of Idaho football put points on the scoreboard in each quarter including 27 in the second half en route to a 41-7 win over host Eastern Oregon to secure a share of the Frontier Conference title.
The win gives College of Idaho a share of the Frontier Conference title for the fourth-straight year. The last two seasons, College of Idaho has shared the title with its only outright Frontier Conference title coming back in 2019. The last team to win four-straight is next week's opponent Carroll College, who won 12 in a row from 2000 to 2011.
The Yotes outgained the Mountaineers by a 377 to 185 margin in total offense in the win with a 23 to 10 advantage in first downs. College of Idaho quarterback
Andy Peters completed 19 of 27 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. The ground game saw
Jon Schofield score twice and

College of Idaho scored a touchdown in each of the first two quarters for a 14-0 halftime lead on EOU as
Jon Schofield ran it in from two yards out in the first quarter and
Andy Peters connected with
Brock Richardson for a five-yard touchdown pass for the early lead.
With a 14-0 lead in the third quarter, the Mountaineers sought to capitalize on the lone C of I turnover on the day. With second and goal at the seven-yard line, Yotes defensive back
Jacob Arms ripped the ball out of the hands of reserve EOU quarterback Parker Robinson and returned it a school record 90 yards to extend the lead to 21-0 with 12:59 left in the third quarter. It is the second straight week that Arms has scored a defensive touchdown. His 90-yard touchdown run broke the eight-year old school record held by Nate Moore, who returned a fumble 67 yards against Montana Western on November 1, 2014.
The Mountaineers spoiled the shutout bid later in the quarter on a 30-yard pass play by Andrew James to Andre Martinez.
With a 21-7 lead, the Yotes came right back and went on a 11 play, 65-yard drive that saw Schofield run it in for the second time on the day. The drive saw Peters complete all three of his passes, including a 10-yard reception to Schofield on 3rd and 4 to extend the drive. Also, on the drive,
Allamar Alexander picked up 23 of his 89 yards in the win.
The recipe for success in 2022 has been fourth quarter domination by the Yotes, who came into the contest as they have outscored their opponents by a 79-26 margin in the final 15 minutes. College of Idaho added to its margin, outscoring the Mountaineers by a 13-0 margin in the final stanza. Finding the endzone for the second time on the season were
