CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's soccer team drew with Evergreen after a delay in the stadium Saturday night, with a final score of one goal each.
Defense was the name of the game, as the Yotes would hold Evergreen to one total shot on goal. Meanwhile on the other side of the ball, the Geoducks' goalkeeper Colin Hauser recorded 13 saves in the draw.
Ben Garrick got the scoring started in the 67th minute as the Yotes would take a 1-0 lead. With 30 seconds left in regulation, the lights at Simplot Stadium went out, delaying the game by roughly 15 minutes. Once play resumed, Evergreen went down the field to score with 10 seconds left to earn the draw, as Jesus Flores put the ball in the back of the net.
Up next for the Yotes is the CCC tournament in Springfield, Ore. where the team enters as the fourth seed.
