CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's soccer team took down Northwest on Friday by a score of 4-0 to open up senior weekend.
Senior
Caio Pereira got the scoring started just over eight minutes into Friday's contest as the Yotes jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. The lead would hold through the rest of the half, and 20 minutes into the second half,
Ben Garrick scored off a feed from
Emil Powles to take a two goal lead.
Jorge Fernandez would score just over two minutes later as Powles added his name to the score sheet once again, tallying his second assist.Â
Senior
Zach Flannery contributed to the score sheet, netting a goal off an assist by JJ Osuna as the Yotes took a 4-0 lead which would eventually hold.
"Another well played game by the defense today," said head coach
Thom Baker. "It was exciting to get the clean sheet as we prepare for Evergreen tomorrow. Terrific game for the squad as a whole."
The final game of the regular season takes place tomorrow in Caldwell, as the team will honor five seniors prior to the matchup with Evergreen, with a kickoff slated for 8 p.m.
