COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. - The College of Idaho men's soccer team took down Walla Walla in what was the final road contest of the season on Saturday, winning by a score of 5-1.
Eric Hornung continued to be on a tear, scoring the first goal of the game in the 20th minute.
Bernardo Zanatta scored just two minutes later off an assist by JJ Osuna, which was Osuna's first of two assists on the contest. To start the second half,
Jeremy Guimbretiere scored just under two minutes into the second half as the Yotes took a 3-0 lead.
Ben Garrick scored two minutes later, and Joao Basts scored to round out the Yotes offense.
"It's always a tough weekend to travel 18 hours and then turn around to travel again to play in Walla Walla," said head coach
Thom Baker. "The boys further showed their mental toughness. Very proud of the team. It was a very professional performance to come away with six points this weekend."
Up next are the final two home games of the season, beginning with Northwest on Friday at Simplot Stadium.
