CORVALLIS, Ore. – College of Idaho forward
Sydney Clements was honored as the WVT Laboratory Cascade Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Clements found the net once during each game of a weekend sweep against Corban and Bushnell. The senior from Spokane, Wash. tallied her first goal of the week in the 86th minute on Friday against the Warriors after stealing the ball and winning a 1-v-1 battle with the keeper to make it 3-0 C of I. She then scored what would amount to the game-winning goal in the 69th minute against Bushnell on Saturday almost immediately after checking into the game, scoring off a deflection to give the Yotes the lead for good.
The Yotes host Eastern Oregon on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in a battle of teams residing at the top of the Cascade Conference standings.
