MEDFORD, Ore. – Rylee Russel had an emphatic start to her freshman campaign at The College of Idaho. Her efforts have earned her Cascade Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week. In her first three games, she bagged three goals and contributed an assist to power the Yotes to a 3-0 start to the 2027 campaign.
Getting into the points early, Russel served
Alondra Osuna the assist on the opening goal only 9 minutes into the new season. The goal set the tone for a 3-1 victory against Soka Univ. (Calif). The second game of the season was a rematch of the 2025 NAIA Second round against No. 25 The Master's University. In the highly anticipated match, Russel scored both the opener and the game winner for her first two collegiate goals. Rounding out the weekend, the Spokane Washington native scored the opener against Hope International Univ. (Calif.).
Russel and the No. 10 Yotes hit the road to face NCAA foe Whitman College (Wash.) on September 5
th.
