Kendrik Caldwell narrowly missed a personal best mark in the decathlon on the final day of the Canis Latrans Invite and Multi at Caldwell High.
Caldwell recorded four Cascade Conference qualifying marks in the two-day event, finishing with 5,976 points - an NAIA "B" qualifying standard and jumping into the Top-20 on the national list. He was just 18 points shy of his personal best, achieved at the 2019 CCC Multi-Event Meet.
He opened Day 2 with a 16.28 second 110-meter hurdle and added a discus throw of 31.32 meters. Caldwell cleared 3.50 meters in the pole vault, before launching the javelin a personal-best mark of 46.77 meters and ended the meet with a 5:02.00 1,500-meters.
