GULF SHORES, Ala. –
Larissa Mauer repeated as the bronze medalist in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, with teammate
Sage Martin adding an eighth-place finish in the event, helping The College of Idaho to a 15th-place finish at the NAIA Women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships inside Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
The Coyotes finished the 3-day meet with 17 team points – the top Cascade Conference squad at the event.
Mauer, who earned a third-place finish in the event as a freshman, made a move with the lead pack midway through the race, climbing from sixth-place to third – finishing with a time of 11:09.54 – earning All-America honors.
Martin kept close to the lead pack through the first six laps, finishing with a time of 11:25.95 – eight seconds clear of the ninth-place runner to earn her first career All-America honor.
In the field events,
Morgan Harrison finished 17th overall in the high jump, clearing the opening height of 1.59 meters (5 feet, 2.5 inches). In the discus,
Catylynn Duff placed 15th overall (40.88 meters / 134 feet, 1 inch) and
AaLea Kolb took 27th (37.92 meters / 124 feet, 5 inch)..
