Kenna Jones used a bronze medal finish in the high jump to help her finish Day 1 of the heptathlon in sixth-place at the Cascade Conference Multi-Event Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at Raider Stadium.
Jones scored 2,516 points on the day, the highest total among the four College of Idaho athletes in the event. The sophomore cleared 1.53 meters in the high jump to earn 655 of her points, adding a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (15.67 second).
Kiersten Lancaster sits in ninth-place with 2,471 points, scoring 855 points with her second-place finish in the 100-meters hurdles (14.90 seconds).
Sophi Clay sits in 11th-place after Day 1 (2,344 points) - with her best effort a fourth-place finish in the 200-meters (26.75 seconds), with
Roby Young in 14th-place (2,265 points) - taking eighth in the high jump (1.44 meters).
Day 2 will begin with the long jump, followed by the javelin and will end with the 800-meters.
