CORVALLIS, Ore. – College of Idaho freshman
Annie Polster was honored as the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Cascade Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
This is the second time this season that Polster has taken home the honor.
Polster, a right-hander from West Richland, Wash., struck out a career-high 11 batters in the series opener against Carroll and followed that effort up with a five-inning complete game in which she allowed just three hits and two runs on Saturday. The Friday effort was a complete game four-hit performance in which the Fighting Saints did not bring across an earned run. Polster is now 7-0 on the season.
The Yotes head to Eugene, Ore. for a four-game series with Bushnell this Friday and Saturday.
