COLUMBUS, Ga. — The College of Idaho's third game of the NAIA Softball World Series was cut short almost as soon as it began, as inclement weather forced a suspension in the top of the first inning.
With two outs and Kina Watts aboard at first after drawing a walk, play was halted due to worsening conditions before the Yotes could settle into an early rhythm.
The delay adds to an already disrupted schedule at the 45th Annual NAIA Softball World Series. For the first time in tournament history, games were pushed to Sunday, but continued weather issues prevented the event from getting back on track.
The game will resume Monday morning, with a restart time to be announced. For the most up-to-date information, click here.
