CALDWELL, Idaho - Southern Oregon's physical defense held College of Idaho scoreless for just the second time this season in a 2-0 defeat of the Yotes at Simplot Stadium Friday afternoon.

The Yotes (6-3-1, 4-3-1 CCC) had the first six shots in the contest, with their best chance by
Kristian Quiros in the 6th minute that was saved by SOU keeper Liam Kalhagen.

In the 30th minute, the Raiders (10-2, 6-2 CCC) capitalized on a thru-ball by Izaiha Bruce to set up a 1v1 shot and goal by Noah Addie to put SOU up 1-0.

C of I had multiple chances to tie the game early in the second half, but SOU's defense held the Yotes to just four shots on target in the entire match.

SOU was able to add an insurance goal in the 79th minute after a quick free kick by Renee Resendez found the foot of Moises Hernandez to double the lead late.

Zac Dean had seven saves in the match, while SOU's Kalhagen provided four saves for the shutout victory.

C of I outshot SOU 14-12 in total shots, while SOU led 23-15 in fouls.

The Yotes return to action tomorrow against Oregon Tech. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
