Coyotes Shatter All-Time NAIA Scholar-Athlete Record

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The College of Idaho closed out an impressive 2019-20 season in the classroom with a record-setting 121 student-athletes earning Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, announced as part of NAIA Awards Day.
 
The record total by the Coyotes nearly doubled their previous mark – as last year, C of I established a new record with 62 athletes earning the distinction.
 
To earn the honor, an athlete must be a junior in academic status as of June of 2020 and maintained a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average at the College.
 
The women's track team led the way with 17 athletes earning the award – as 11 different teams established new program-best totals. Football and both soccer program recorded double-digit scholar-athlete honors.
