Kami Hawkins narrowly missed a NAIA qualifying mark in the 600-meters in her first indoor meet since 2017, as the College of Idaho women's track and field team competed in today's Bronco Invitational inside the Ford Idaho Center's Jackson's Track.

Hawkins placed second in the fourth of six sections of the 600-meters, recording a time of 1:38.79 – less than a tenth of a second off of the provisional national cut.

Four of her teammates also competed in the event – with freshman Abby Shirts (1:42.87) leading the rest of the group in her first collegiate meet.

Jessica Dorohov clocked C of I's top 60-meter dash time (8.23), just ahead of two-sport athletes
Cheyanne Rede (8.25) and
Madison Glascock (8.27), who both play for the Yotes women's soccer program. Another women's soccer player,
Payton Anderson, had the Coyotes fastest time in the 200-meters (26.88), followed by Glascock (26.93) and Rede (27.39).

Cascade Conference hurdle champion
Kiersten Lancaster opened her junior season with a mark of 9.28 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles – just missing the championship final.

In the field events, sophomore
Catylynn Duff led an impressive day by the Coyote throwers, placing fourth overall in the weight throw – recording a mark of 16.15 meters (53 feet, 0 inches), just off her own school record. Teammate
Keagan Utter narrowly missed the finals, recording a personal best mark of 14.80 meters (48 feet, 6.75 inches). In the long jump,
Laura Henderson led the Coyotes with a mark of 4.83 meters (15 feet, 10.25 inches).
