BOISE, Idaho - Victories from
Keith Bailey in the triple jump and the 4x400-meter relay keyed a big Day 2 for the College of Idaho men's track and field team at the Boise State Border Clash at Dona Larsen Park.
The Yotes added three new Cascade Conference qualifying marks heading into the upcoming CCC Championships, set for May 10-11 in Ashland, Ore.
Bailey led a 1-2-3 finish for C of I in the triple jump, recording a personal best mark of 14.01 meters (45 feet, 11.75 inches) - the No. 4 mark in program history.
On the track, the Coyotes earned a new conference qualifier in each of the sprints - as
Taeson Hardin met the provisional mark in the 100-meters (11.20),
Matt McLaughlin followed suit in the 200-meters (22.44) as did
Kendrik Caldwell in the 400-meters (50.87).
The 4x400-meter relay team of Caldwell, McLaughlin,
Josh Frey and
Derek Thomas defeated rival Eastern Oregon to claim the gold with a time of 3:26.98.
