ASHLAND, Ore. –
Casey Davies scored eight goals and added six assists, as the College of Idaho bolted to a 20-0 halftime lead, blowing past rival Southern Oregon, 30-4, in a Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League South Division match-up at Raider Stadium.
The 30 goals scored by the Yotes (7-0, 2-0 PNCLL) tied a school record, as C of I ran their league win streak to 13 matches, dating back to 2016.
C of I found the net six times in the first five minutes of the match – as
Ryan Henning scored twice and added two helpers in the flurry – with Davies scoring the first of his goals with 9:56 left in the opening quarter to make it 6-0.
Davies added four second quarter goals – helping the Coyotes to their most lopsided victory ever against the Raiders (4-3, 1-1).
Henning had four goals and five assists;
Hank Ontiveros finished with three goals and three assists;
Servando Guerrero recorded a hat trick; with
Joey Brant,
Tyler Sanchez,
Dami Ashaye and
Parker Archuleta each scoring twice.
The Coyotes return to action next weekend, hosting nationally-ranked Cal State San Marcos on Friday night, before meeting Western Oregon on Sunday.
