CALDWELL, Idaho – Cole Valley Christian products
Madison Holly and
Lindy Westendorf combined for 27 points and 14 rebounds, helping the College of Idaho complete a weekend sweep of Yellowstone Christian, winning today's matinee, 62-47, inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
Holly led the Yotes (11-11) with a game-high 16 points, with Westendorf recording her third career double-double with a season-high 10 points and 11 rebounds. C of I dominated the glass, holding a 48-31 rebound margin and outscored the YCC bench 31-0.
C of I used a 10-2 run early in the first quarter to bolt to a lead – as Holly splashed a 3-pointer and
Alyssa Case had consecutive steals and baskets in the flurry.
The hosts led 31-18 at the half and pushed the margin to 40-20 early in the third quarter after baskets from Holly and Case and consecutive short jumpers from
Jocelyn Cook-Cox.
Kaylee Krusemark scored all 11 of her points in the first half, while Case finished with nine points, six rebounds and five steals.
Karen Orozco led the Centurions (8-6), an NCCAA Division I team, with 14 points. YCC was limited to just 22-percent shooting from the field, but finished 20-of-30 from the foul line (while C of I was just 1-of-4).
The Yotes return to action next weekend with key Cascade Conference road games at Evergreen and Northwest.
