LA GRANDE, Ore. - College of Idaho's
Kristopher Kostelecky was honored as Red Lion-Cascade Conference Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league information office.
The junior, from Twin Falls, recorded a personal-best mark in the heptathlon at last weekend's Ed Jacoby Invitational in Nampa - recording the No. 4 mark in the NAIA this winter.
Kostelecky recorded 4,715 points in the 7-event, 2-day marathon - placing second overall in the high jump (1.91 meters) along with a fourth-place effort in the long jump (6.61 meters). He also recorded a personal best clearance of 3.60 meters in the pole vault.
C of I will have this weekend off in preparation for the Jackson's Invitational on Feb. 1-2.
