NAMPA, Idaho –
Catylynn Duff recorded the fifth-best 20-pound weight throw mark in program history as the College of Idaho women's track and field team opened up the 2019 portion of the indoor schedule at the Jackson's Invitational inside the Ford Idaho Center Jackson's Track.

The true freshman recorded back-to-back marks of over 15-meters to open the weight throw competition, eventually placing seventh overall with a distance of 49 feet, 7.75 inches (15.13 meters). She becomes just the second C of I women's thrower to surpass the 15-meter mark, joining
Hayley Morse, who accomplished the feat four times during the 2018 season.
Two throwers –
Keagan Utter and
Meg Buxton – each qualified for the final of the shot put. Utter placed seventh overall (37-8 ¾ / 11.50 m), with Buxton taking eighth (37-6.50 / 11.44 m)
On the track, two-sport athletes
Madison Glascock and
Payton Anderson made their debut after stellar soccer seasons. Glascock recorded a tenth-place finish in the 60-meters (8.17 seconds) and clocked a time of 26.90 seconds in the 200-meters, while Anderson had times of 8.38 seconds in the 60-meters and 27.10 seconds in the 200-meters.
Payton Durocher took ninth overall in the 600-meters (1:42.05);
Kiersten Lancaster took tenth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.74 seconds); with
Payge Durocher taking sixth in the high jump (4-11 ½ / 1.51 m).
The entire C of I team will make their season debut next weekend at the two-day Ed Jacoby Invitational.
