EUGENE, Ore. – Playing back-to-back extra inning contests, the College of Idaho earned a split of a doubleheader at Northwest Christian – winning the opener in eight innings, while NCU walked off with a 10-inning victory in the late contest.
The Yotes (19-20, 9-14 CCC) logged their first one-run victory of the season with their 4-3 victory in Game 1, but watched as NCU forced extra innings with a seventh inning run and won the game, 5-4, on a sacrifice fly.
Trystin Crofts had two of C of I's four doubles on the day – with the Lady Yotes breaking their single-season record for two-base hits with 79.
Kristin Paulazzo had a big two-run double in Game 2 that gave the Yotes a 4-3 edge.
