Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Sorensen is in her second season with the Lady Yote softball program.

2017: Made seven appearances, including two starts, going 1-2 with a 3.89 ERA; struck out 10 and walked just three in 18 innings; picked up a win in relief at Great Falls, tossing 4.1 innings of shutout ball; struck out a season-high four vs. Corban in the Cascade Conference Championships.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Transferred to C of I from McCook CC in Nebraska, where she was 6-7 with a 3.82 ERA in 24 appearances, walking just 19 in 73.1 innings; spent her freshman season at Western Nevada CC.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Gunnison Valley High, where she was a 2A All-State selection.

PERSONAL: Studying elementary education; daughter of Tom and Candice Sorensen.
