Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Mendiola is in her fourth season with the Coyote softball program.

2020: Appeared in 14 games as a junior season that was shortened due to COVID-19, hitting .390 with three home runs, four doubles and 15 RBI; had three RBI at OUAZ, at Arizona Christian and at home against Northwest. 

2019: Saw action in 37 games as a sophomore, hitting .276 with four doubles, two triples and nine RBI; hit a go-ahead 3-run home run in playoff win over Carroll College; scored 18 runs and added nine stolen bases.

2018: Played in 21 games as a true freshman, primarily as a pinch runner and defensive substitute; finished 3-for-7 with a double and scored seven runs.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Middleton High, where she was a two-time All-Southern Idaho Conference selection; helped her team to the 2016 and 2017 4A state championships; hit .513 as a senior.

CLUB TEAM: Idaho Crossfire

PERSONAL: Studying biology; father Al is the C of I head softball coach, with her mother, Liz, the C of I head volleyball coach.
