SALEM, Ore. – A 7-0 run late in the fourth quarter helped the College of Idaho hold off a big Corban University rally, as the Lady Yotes earned a 67-61 road victory inside C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
The Yotes (3-6, 1-2 CCC) earned back-to-back wins for the first time this season and won for the second-straight time on the Warriors home court.
C of I had built a 45-25 lead on an
Emily Harwood lay-up midway through the third quarter – but the Warriors (6-4, 1-1) Jordan Woodvine scored 12 of her game-high 31 points in a 21-5 run to cut the margin to 50-46, with a Woodvine 3-point play pulling the hosts within 55-53 with four minutes left.
The visitors had an answer – as
Jocelyn Cook-Cox converted a put-back basket and following a stop, Harwood scored in transition.
Madison Holly added a 3-pointer to extend the lead to 62-53, and the Yotes converted free throws down the stretch to earn the win.
Alyssa Case led the Yotes early charge with 11 first half point, as C of I opened the game on a 6-0 run and used a 16-1 surge – holding Corban without a made field goal for an eight minute stretch between the first and second quarters to take a 31-11 lead.
Case finished with 19 points, with Harwood scoring a season-high 17 and Holly adding 15 in the victory. Both Cook-Cox and
