CALDWELL, Idaho – Carroll College Men's Soccer scored quick and locked down the Yotes' attack to win 1-0 at Simplot Stadium on Saturday.
Isaac Bostrom scored his team-leading fifth goal of the year off of a corner from Jonathan Taylor in the 15th minute of the match.
After the opening goal, the Yotes went on the offensive to try and tie the match, outshooting the Saints 7-3. Shots from
The College of Idaho came out of halftime, taking two shots in the first two minutes, but missing wide and blocked.
The match was far from over with three minutes remaining as the Yotes took two shots off of two corners. The first from
Joseph Lopeyok went high and
Guilherme Siqueira's attempt was also high.
The Yotes kept the pressure on the Saints' defense all match, outshooting Carroll 14-12.
Grant Billings finished with three saves and the Yotes took more corners (4-3).
Carter Perry and Siqueria both recorded three shots while
Joao Cardoso and Memhed Selimovic tallied two shots each.
College of Idaho dropped to 3-5 on the season with a 2-3 record in conference action. The Yotes return to the field at home on Sunday against the Argos of Great Falls. The match is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. with live stats and video available on yoteathletics.com.
