KIRKLAND, Wash. –
Petra Lumpert scored 22 points and set a school record with 12 assists, as the College of Idaho completed a weekend road sweep, cruising to an 85-60 victory at Northwest University.
The win for the Lady Yotes (4-8, 4-2 CCC) was their third win in a row and their fourth victory in five games – improving the team to 3-1 on the road in league play. It was their first win at NU since the 2012-13 season.
After spotting the Eagles (8-9, 3-4) an 11-5 lead, C of I responded with a pair of
Kiara Skinner 3's and triples from
Jaycin Tini and Lumpert – part of a 19-2 run to give the visitors a 24-13 lead late in the quarter.
NU would close the gap to 53-45 on a Miranda Langenhorst lay-up, but Lumpert scored nine quick points and Skinner canned a trey in a back-breaking 17-2 C of I run that put the game away.
Lumpert broke the C of I school record of 11 assists that was established on six previous occasions and had seven rebounds. Skinner scored 20 points, including 4-of-7 shooting from outside the arc; Madision Pilster had 11 of her 17 points in the second half; with Tini finished with 15 points and seven boards.
The Eagles made just 35-percent of their field goals and were outboarded by C of I, 42-36. Charmaine Bradford had 15 points in the loss, going 6-of-21 from the field.
C of I returns home next weekend for dates against Multnomah and Warner Pacific.
