LEWISTON, Idaho – Monica Landdeck hit three 3-point baskets in a 24-6 run early in the third quarter, as Montana Tech broke away for an 81-61 victory over the College of Idaho in Game 1 of the Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic in the LCSC Activity Center.
After the Lady Yotes (0-3) took a 17-15 edge at the conclusion of the first quarter, Tech used a 13-2 run, capped by a Martha Dembeck triple to take a 33-22 lead and grabbed a 41-32 edge at the break.

Alyssa Case jumper got C of I within seven on the first possession of the third quarter, but triples from Landdeck jumpstarted the Orediggers (5-2) – forcing four Coyote turnovers and six offensive rebounds in the surge – as the NAIA Division I foe extended the lead to 65-40 and eased to the victory.
Kiara Skinner led the Yotes with 11 points, with freshman
Allison Law and transfer Princess Taimani each scoring 10.
Landdeck led all players with 24 points, including 5-of-10 shooting from long range, with Dembek adding 16 points. Tech held a 39-32 edge on the glass, including 14 offensive boards.
C of I returns to action tomorrow, meeting host Lewis-Clark State.
