CALDWELL, Idaho – Keeper Jordan Farr made a pair of Corban University goals stand up with five second half saves, as the No. 14 Warriors held off fierce College of Idaho rally for a 2-0 victory at Simplot Stadium.
The Warriors (10-1, 5-1 CCC) scored both of their goals in the backend of the first half – as Rolando Velazquez settled a cross in the box in the 32nd minute and played a perfect strike into the right corner of the net. Ten minutes later, Armando Guevara lifted a corner kick to the back post, finding the head of Travez Whyte, hammering home the goal for a 2-0 lead.
C of I (3-6, 2-4) had their chances in the second half – but Farr was up to the task.
Mehmed Selimovic had a 20-yard free kick in the 49th minute rocket toward the lower near post – with Farr diving well off his line for the save. In the 61st minute,
Tyler Sharp had a point-blank chance on a 1-on-2 attack deflected away by Farr, while in the 69th minute, Farr redirected a 15-yard strike from
Cole Fuller headed for the upper right corner of the net – one of his eight saves on the day.

Grant Billings was outstanding on the other end of the pitch – stymying White in the 72nd minute and stuffing Bobby Hutchin on a 1-v-1 chance late in the contest, as the junior finished with seven stops.
Corban held a 16-14 edge in total shots and added a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
The Yotes close out a four-match home stand with a Sunday showdown with Northwest Christian at 2:30 p.m.
