OAKLAND, Calif. – College of Idaho swim coach picked up his first career win, as the Lady Yotes went 1-2 this afternoon at the Mills Quadrangular at Trefethen Aquatic Center.

The Lady Yotes defeated Mills College 141-59 to give the first-year coach his debut win, but C of I dropped a tight 100-97 result to NAIA rival Biola and a 161-43 setback to Division II Cal State East Bay.
C of I recorded six NAIA automatic qualifying marks and six NAIA provisional cuts on the day.
Maddy Kelly had the Lady Yotes lone individual win, hitting the NAIA "A" mark with her victory in the 50-yard freestyle (24.60), with teammate
Hannah Roberts also hitting the auto mark with her third-place finish (25.47). Both athletes also recorded "B" marks – Kelly in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.51) and Roberts in the 100-yard freestyle (56.84), while helping the 400-yard freestyle relay team hit the NAIA "A" standard (3:42.23).
All-American
Mckayla Stevens opened her season by hitting the "A" cut in the 200-yard freestyle, placing second with a time of 1:57.97 and added a "B" mark in the 200-yard IM (2:17.47).
Freshmen Kiara Supple hit the "A" mark in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.37);
Aunika Torres hit "B" cuts in both the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.03) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.75); while
Taylor Baker hit the "B" mark in the 100-yard freestyle (57.15). The Lady Yotes 200-yard medley relay also established an "A" qualifying mark (1:57.64).
C of I continues their road swing tomorrow morning, competing in the six team Bay Area Invitational.
