The victory for the Lady Yotes (10-2, 6-1 CCC) gives the squad just their fifth 10-win season in program history and sets up a first-place showdown with Eastern Oregon on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

C of I held the run of the pitch in the opening 45 minutes and had a pair of unlucky chances to take a lead.  In the sixth minute, the Yotes played a long ball down the right side of the field, finding the streaking Jamiece Yizar, who had her shot initially blocked by Knights (1-9-3, 0-6-1) keeper Mariah Liebert and cleared off the goal line by Larissa Byragazova.

In the 22nd minute, Erika Thompson served a ball into the middle of the box, finding the head of Bailey Watson, with Liebert coming off her line to make a diving save of the shot towards the right corner of the goal.

The hosts broke through less than three minutes into the second half, as Thompson eluded a WPC defender along the goal line left of the cage and ripped a shot into the top left corner of the net.

The Yotes extended the margin in the 68th minute, as Hailey Woods played a long ball into the box to Yizar, who touched a pass to the top of 6-yard box, with Reilly Coyle heading the ball off the bottom of the crossbar and just across the goal line for the 2-0 lead.

C of I got an insurance tally in the 72nd minute on a counter attack, as a Thompson cross to Yizar in the box was deflected by a WPC defender into the net for an own goal.

Brittany Houghton faced just one shot on goal in picking up her fourth shutout of the season, as C of I held a 7-5 edge in total shots and recorded the two corner kicks in the match.
