SALEM, Ore. – Arsinio Walker scored a pair of first half goals and the Corban University defense did the rest, as the Warriors recorded their fifth-straight shutout, a 2-0 victory over the College of Idaho at Warrior Field.
The Warriors (7-3-1, 5-1-1 CCC) limited C of I to just one shot on goal on the afternoon, as Steven Mason logged the shutout win.
Corban jumped on the board in the ninth minute, as James Williamson played a long throw-in into the area, with Walker one-timing a shot off the hand of C of I (5-6, 2-5) keeper Grant Billings for a 1-0 lead. In the 25th minute, Walker struck again, playing a touch from Nathaniel Chaney to his left boot, bending a shot into the left corner of the net.
C of I tried to battle back in the second half, but all six shots taken were off frame.
The hosts held a 17-7 edge in total shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
The Coyotes look to end a three-match losing streak tomorrow evening at Northwest Christian.
