CALDWELL, Idaho – Ryan McIntosh scored 13 of his game-high 22 points in the second half, as Northwest University rallied from 13-points down to defeat The College of Idaho, 69-67, in a Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships quarterfinal match-up inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

Trailing 38-25 early in the second half, McIntosh was fouled making one of his five three-point field goals, with the four-point play fueling a 13-2 run that got the No. 25 Eagles (22-9) within 40-38. Antonio Garrett helped the Yotes (15-14) extend the margin back to 51-45 midway through the period, put NU scored the next 11 points – with a Michael Russo trey giving the visitors their first lead of the night.
A Garrett steal and fast break dunk ignited an 8-0 C of I run, with Duncan Koga’s three-pointer giving the Yotes a 59-56 lead with 3:45 left. McIntosh responded with a long three to give the Eagles the lead at 61-59. Leading 69-66 with 11 seconds left, Russo missed the front end of a 1-and-1, with NU fouling the Yotes Taylor Pruett on a three-point try with less than a second remaining. Pruett canned the first free throw, but missed the next two, sealing the road win for Northwest.
Michael Greene had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Nemanja Grujicic had 12 points in the win, as the Eagles won despite 21 turnovers - handing The C of I their ninth straight playoff loss and their seventh-straight loss in the CCC quarterfinals.
The Coyotes hit 24-of-48 field goals in the loss, with Garrett hitting 8-of-9 field goals, scoring 16 points. Zach Peterson had 14 of his 16 points in the first half, as the Yotes built a 34-25 halftime lead. The loss ended the career of Koga, the lone senior in the line-up for The C of I.
