Box Score
DILLON, Mont. – Joel Barndt scored 25 points and added 11 rebounds as Rocky Mountain College hit 57-percent of their second half field goal attempts to knock off The College of Idaho, 98-86, in the final game of the Craig Finberg Memorial Classic.

The Bears (2-0) withstood a pair of C of I rallies to pick up the non-conference win.

Early on, the Yotes (0-2) played even with Rocky, as an Antonio Garrett three-point play midway through the half gave C of I their largest lead at 20-15. The Bears would answer, as Barndt opened a 14-0 run with back-to-back buckets and Rob Nyby scored eight-straight points, as RMC built a 38-25 edge. The Yotes would respond with 11-in-a-row, including three-pointers from Jordan O'Byrne and Emanuel Morgan and trail just 42-38 at the break.

C of I would get within 56-55 on an O'Byrne trey with 15 minutes to play, but Malachi Roberts scored all 16 of his points in the final stanza – including a pair of key treys in a 14-5 run midway through the second half that gave Rocky a 77-64 lead. The Yotes would get no closer than seven the rest of the way.

Tyree Anderson had 22 points and seven assists for the Bears, with Sian Lane adding 12 points and seven rebounds.

O'Byrne led the Yotes with 22 points, including 5-of-10 shooting from outside the arc. Antonio Garrett had 14 points and 13 rebounds, with Taylor Pruett scoring 12 and both Morgan and Demetrius Perkins tallying 10. C of I committed 19 turnovers on the night and made just 1-of-11 three-pointers after halftime.

The Yotes head next weekend to La Grande, Ore., for the Quinn Classic – meeting Walla Walla on Friday and Carroll on Saturday.
