Denise Matheson

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Denise Matheson begins her fifth season as an assistant coach with the C of I women's basketball program.  She was the top assistant for Reagan Rossi during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, returning to the position under Mark Owen in 2014-15.

PRIOR TO C OF I: Matheson also works as a personal trainer and cycling instructor, while getting her coaching start in 2009, working with the sophomore team at Boise High.

PERSONAL: At Willamette High School in Oregon, Matheson was a McDonald's All-American Nominee, earning a scholarship to Boise State University, where she played for the Broncos for three seasons.  Matheson transfered to the C of I in 2006, averaging 11 points and eight rebounds per game as a junior and 17 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior, before an injury ended her career. She and husband, Tyler, live in Caldwell and have three children - Hadley, Oakley and Quarry.
