AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Jeff Lavender is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Coyote men's basketball team. During his time at the College, the Yotes have won 75-of-100 games and back-to-back Cascade Conference titles in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
PRIOR TO C OF I: Lavender spent 28 years coaching in the California high school ranks, including 19 years as head coach at San Marcos and Santa Barbara High Schools, compiling a 335-183 career record.
PERSONAL: A native of Pilot Rock, Ore., Lavender is a 1983 graduate of Westmont College with a degree in biology. Lavender was a two-sport athlete – scoring 1,375 points on the hardwood, while setting a school record with a leap of 6-10 in the high jump. He and wife Mara have four children and reside in New Plymouth.
