AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Lyons is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Coyotes, working with the defensive backs.

AS A PLAYER: A four-year starter at C of I, earning All-Frontier Conference honors as a senior. Finished his career with 221 tackles (No. 3 on the all-time list) and seven interceptions - including 80 tackles as a senior. Averaged 16.0 yards a punt return over his career, including a 75-yard touchdown return vs. MSU-Northern in 2017.

PERSONAL: A native of Van Nuys, Calif., where he was an All-Mission League selection as a prep. Earned the 2019 R.C. Owens Award from the National Football Foundation as the top senior student-athlete on the Coyote team.
