Petrilli is in his second season with the Coyotes and will serve as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator.
He came to The C of I after five seasons at Eagle High School, helping the Mustangs win the 2009 5A state title, while spending the 2012 season as the wide receivers coach at Division I Charleston Southern.
Petrilli played three seasons at Carroll College and received his degree in economics from Boise State University. Prior to joining the coaching ranks, he spent time in the U.S. Military as a member of the elite military forces – serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C., and received an honorable discharge. Petrilli also spent time in the octagon and ring – recording a combined 19-3 record in amateur boxing and mixed martial arts events.
