AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Schweiger began working as an assistant coach for the Coyote baseball program in 2013, while doubling as the J.A. Albertson Activities Center coordinator. He has helped the Coyotes to NAIA National Tournament appearances in 2016 and 2017.
PRIOR TO C OF I: The Torrance, Calif., native is a 2003 graduate of Cal State San Bernardino, before being selected in the 16th round selection by the Seattle Mariners in the 2003 MLB first-year players draft. Schweiger spent four seasons in the minor leagues - hitting .259 over his career and advancing as high as AAA. During the 2007 and 2008 seasons, he was the bullpen catcher for the Mariners, while serving as the Home Run Derby catcher and American League bullpen catcher during the 2010 MLB All-Star Game. Schweiger went on to serve as an assistant coach at CSUSB from 2009-11, before spending two seasons at Los Angeles Valley CC.
PERSONAL: He is married to wife Amanda and has two sons, Beckett and Crew.
