Peoples is in his second season with the Coyote men's basketball program. During his time here, he has achieved a Final Four finish (2024), a CCC regular season championship (2024), and a National Tournament appearance (2024).
2023-24: Played in 34 games, starting in none… averaged 11.9 minutes per game, making 45.5% of his shots from the field… scored a total of 263 points, averaging 7.7 points per game… recorded 16 assists, averaging 0.5 assists per game… contributed 36 rebounds, with 16 offensive and 20 defensive… registered 15 steals and 0 blocks… had a free-throw percentage of 72.5% (29 of 40)… made 50 three-pointers throughout the season.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Montana in 2022-23; Butte Central High School's all time leading scorer, and holds the school record for most point scored in a game with 44; averaged 25 points per game in high school, he was a state champion in 2020 and 2022; named to the All-State team on three occasions.… in the classroom, Peoples was class president and participated in the National Honors Society.

PERSONAL:
Joining the Yote Fam from Butte, MT, Dougie was raised by Doug and Becky Peoples. Aside from his efforts on the court, Dougie is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Political Economy. He chose The College of Idaho because of Coach Blaine, the winning tradition, and a positive basketball culture, in addition to strong academics.
