Garza is in his second season with the Coyotes…in 2012, saw action in a team-high 28 games on the mound, going 6-2 with a 4.30 ERA in 52 innings of work...added two saves...tossed six innings of shutout ball in a win over Willamette, adding five-plus innings of two hit relief in a victory over Menlo...transferred to The C of I from Columbia Basin College, where he played for two seasons…NWAACC All-Academic selection…went 0-4 as a sophomore with a 4.34 ERA, recording 32 strikeouts and two saves in 29 innings of work …a 2009 graduate of Othello High in Washington, where he was a second team All-Central Washington Athletic Conference selection as a pitcher his senior year…also played basketball as a prep…looks to study physical therapy…parents Mike and Eve Garza.
