Yotes Blank Bushnell to Cap off Perfect Weekend at Home

CALDWELL, Idaho — The College of Idaho men's soccer team defended their home turf with authority Saturday afternoon, blanking Bushnell University 4-0 to complete a perfect weekend and climb to 2-2 in Cascade Conference play. The win also pushed the Yotes to 2-2-1 overall, marking a turning point in their season.

The Yotes were clinical and composed from start to finish, outshooting the Beacons 18 to 6 and placing eight shots on goal compared to Bushnell's two. They also held a 5 to 3 edge in corner kicks and committed fewer fouls.

Pierre Fabre was a standout performer scoring a brace on the night. He opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a finish set up by Keidin Green, then added his second goal unassisted in the 63rd minute. Fabre now has five goals on the season and continues to be a driving force in the midfield.

Graham Herzog added his first goal of the year in the 50th minute, converting a pass from Brian Ramirez. Green capped the scoring in the 79th minute with his second goal of the season, assisted by Zayne Davis and Landon Montgomery. Green also contributed an assist earlier in the match, making him one of the most impactful players on the pitch. His ability on the ball also opened up the Beacons.

Goalkeeper Matej Hron earned his second win and first shutout of the season, making two saves and anchoring a defense that allowed just one shot in the first half and five in the second. The back line kept Bushnell's attack quiet and organized.

The Yotes' depth was evident, with 22 players seeing action and contributing to the team's high-energy performance.

With momentum building, The College of Idaho will look to extend their winning streak when they host Eastern Oregon University on October 3rd at Simplot Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
