CALDWELL, Idaho — Natasja Davis of the No. 5-ranked The College of Idaho women's soccer team has been named the CCC McDonald's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, following a historic weekend on the pitch.
Davis etched her name into the Yotes' record books on Friday, scoring her 13th career game-winning goal in a dominant 5-0 victory over Walla Walla University. The goal sets a new program record for most game-winners in a career. She also added an assist in the match, contributing to a well-rounded offensive display.
The senior standout followed up her record-setting performance with a clutch showing on Saturday against Warner Pacific (Ore.), netting a brace to keep the Yotes in contention. Twice the Yotes fell behind, and twice Davis responded with goals that kept leveling the score each time before Gianna Yslava sealed the win with a late game-winner.
Davis's game winning ability and timely scoring helped The College of Idaho remain unbeaten in conference play and continue their climb in the national rankings.
The Yotes return home to Simplot Stadium on Thursday, September 26, for a 4 p.m. kickoff against Corban University (Ore.).
