PORTLAND, Ore. The College of Idaho women's soccer team showed resilience on the road, storming back from a halftime deficit to earn a 3–2 victory over Warner Pacific at Eastside Timbers Stadium. The win improves the Yotes to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Cascade Conference play, while the Knights fall to 1-5-1 and 0-2 in league action.
Warner Pacific struck first in the 25th minute when Kiya Gramps converted off an assist from Litzy Gonzalez, giving the hosts a 1–0 lead at the break.
The Yotes responded after halftime with a flurry of offense. Natasja Davis equalized in the 58th minute, finishing a setup from Abbi Roubidoux. Though Gramps briefly put the Knights back in front in the 63rd minute, Davis answered again just eight minutes later, this time assisted by Gianna Yslava, to level the match at 2–2.
The decisive moment came in the 80th minute when Yslava netted the game-winner off a feed from Eden Makaafi, sealing the comeback for the Yotes.
College of Idaho dominated the stat sheet, outshooting Warner Pacific 23–7 and placing 14 shots on goal compared to just three for the Knights. Warner Pacific goalkeeper Javanae Jones kept her team in the match with 11 saves, while Yotes keeper Alivia Brenchley earned the win in net with one save across 90 minutes.
Davis finished with two goals to lead the attack, while Yslava added one goal and one assist. Roubidoux and Makaafi each contributed an assist in the victory.
Next up for the Yotes is a return to home to face Corban University. The game will kickoff at Simplot Stadium on September 26th at 4pm.
