Despite a resilient defensive effort and a standout performance from goalkeeper Matej Hron, who recorded nine saves on the day, the Yotes were unable to overcome a first-half goal by Warner Pacific's Elliot McClafferty. The decisive strike came in the 44th minute, assisted by Bryan Jimenez, and proved to be the difference in a physical contest that saw a combined 17 fouls and 15 cards issued.
The Yotes struggled to generate offensive momentum, managing just five shots and three on goal. Eric Hornung and Graham Herzog each registered a shot on target, while Keidin Green led the team with two attempts. Warner Pacific, meanwhile, applied consistent pressure throughout the match, outshooting The College of Idaho 13-5 and forcing Hron into several key saves to keep the game within reach.
