CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho baseball team closed out the 2025 regular season at Wolfe Field on Sunday, splitting a doubleheader with Eastern Oregon while celebrating 11 seniors between games.
In Game 1, Eastern Oregon used a five-run seventh inning to pull away for a 7-1 victory. The Mountaineers were powered by right-fielder Parker Cumberland's three-run homer and Afton Milton's 2 RBI single to right center, both in the seventh. The Yotes finished with seven hits, including two apiece from seniors Trevor Watkins and Jace Mahlke. Watkins scored C of I's lone run, coming home on a fielder's choice by James Hull.
Senior Dawson Cummins was tagged with the loss despite a strong start, allowing just one run over six innings before the Mountaineers' late surge.
The Yotes bounced back in Game 2, powering their way to a 9-2 win. Senior Cannon Morgan led the offense, going 1-for-3 with a three-run homer and three RBIs. Fellow senior Jack Ingraham added a solo home run and an RBI single as part of a two-hit performance. Watkins chipped in a two-RBI single during a four-run fifth inning that gave C of I breathing room.
On the mound, senior Jacob Lewis tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts, while seniors Tanner Keener and Kaden Lapp each delivered two strong innings in relief to help lock down the victory.
Between games, the Yotes honored seniors Ben Gaff, Trevor Watkins, Bryan Ebe, Jack Ingraham, Chandler Stocking, Cannon Morgan, Jacob Lewis, Dawson Cummins, Tanner Keener, Kaden Lapp, and Oliver Massie for their contributions to the program.
With the regular season complete, the Yotes secured the No. 5 seed in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament. They will travel to Vancouver, B.C., to face fourth-seeded Bushnell in the opening round, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. PT Friday at the University of British Columbia.
