Brooke Beresford had an impressive weekend to earn the CCC McDonald's Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network. She scored 33 points over the weekend. Her shooting was electric beyond the arc, firing off a 62.5% mark. Overall she was 13 for 22 from the field and contributed 3 assists without a single turnover in two starts. Playing the post, she grabbed 17 rebounds with four of them being offensive.
Beresford has earned the team's third women's basketball player of the week this season. It is the junior's first career player of the week honor. Her first night of the weekend she put up a team high 19 points against The Evergreen State College. She shot 8 for 13 from the field and 3 for 5 from the three point line in the 96-50 win over the Geoducks.
She capped the weekend with another double digit performance, this time scoring 14 points against Northwest University. She shot 55.5% from the field and 66.7% from three to help earn a 86-53 victory over the Eagles.
Beresford and the Yotes return to action against Eastern Oregon University on December 30th. They will tip-off at 5:30 PM inside the JA Albertson Activities Center in Caldwell, Idaho.
